Diethyl tere or isophthalate as a chemiluminescent solvent

I heard that diethyl phthalate is the best solvent for chemiluminescence reactions. I was wondered if diethyl terephthalate or isophthalate would work as well since i am going to oxidise xylene to phthalic acid isomers and dont have what to do with other isomers.
