Sea Snake Cave

Just a place on earth where your ears pop every 30 seconds or so, coinciding with a mist that forms and disappears suddenly. Maybe a barometer would something to take along there. It sort of seems there'd be some demonstration to exploit using the effect. Or probably not, but it crossed my mind, some little life form in the cave exploiting the property.

Imagine spending a few hours filming in these conditions.

A good demonstration.

Ah, Kraits. Not generally aggressive.

And, that's a good thing. If you manage to get tangled up with one, and it bites you; you will die.

Very reliable in that regard. Right up there with the Black Mamba. Practically guaranteed!

Whoops! I checked. And, I stand corrected! While the venom is quite toxic, these snakes don't always deliver venom, when they bite you. So..... Deaths are rare.

This Attenborough narration shows the mist effect a little better if you go full screen and watch for it, he doesn't mention it.

This hunting technique was kind of interesting.

Call me squeamish, but I don't believe I would enjoy swimmin' around underwater in the close company of dozens of highly venomous kraits.

And, grabbing one with my hand? I don't think so.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Now, all of the crazy dangers, to which I have exposed myself in life, seem like reasonable risks! Perspective!
