24/29 better than 24/40 for overhead stirring

This is the first time that I have found a practical difference between 24/29 and 24/40 ... 1.1 mm at the narrow end.

It does not sound much but for the eBay overhead stirrers like mine (I bought only one)

the difference means a lot of ptfe needs to be removed to reduce by 1.1mm.
As bought the blades would not fit through 24/anything so needed trimming anyway.

Just thought I'd mention it.

I have a few of those stir paddles and have had no difficulties using them with 24/29 or 24/40, even with fairly large paddles... you have to trim the blades?
