So, I woke up this morning with superpowers

I have been asked to join the team of moderators. I did not know that I would become a supermoderator, but there you have it.
Actually I am not really sure what my superpowers actually are: I'd really like maximum yield and zero mechanical losses. Nah, scratch that. The ability to over-ride the first two laws of thermodynamics would be cool.

Anyway, I see this as my opportunity to give back to a community that has given me so much. To my knowledge, this board is unequalled in both content and style. I am happy to make a small investment of time to help keep it that way.

J.

"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you"

Said Nietzsche, dwell upon it as you become the Super man/ Ubermensch he envisioned, filled with flaws and redemption.

"Man is a rope, tied between beast and Ubermensch - a rope over an abyss. A dangerous across, a dangerous on-the-way, a dangerous looking-back, a dangerous shuddering and stopping. "What is great in man is that he is a bridge and not an end: what can be loved in man is that he is an overture and a subduction."

Chemetix, that's deep. Probably a bit too deep for me to follow. I admit I am not a Nietzsche fan.

CJ, I don't think I get a ban-hammer. Apparently I have subservient admins who can do that on my behalf. Or at least I think that's how it worked. Thor has a bit of a rich accent and I didn't quite follow everything he said when he was explaining the hammer thing.

To the others, thanks for the support. I'll do my best. If I accidentally throw your prepub into detritus I'll need to ask your forgiveness. If your efforts legitimately end up in the fluffy bunnies thread then that is another thing entirely.

Wow - from high school teacher to supermoderator!

Recall what the slave in Caesar's victory chariot whispers in his ear: "Remember, you are still human."

"To whomever is given much, much is expected." from the bible, IIRC.

We could use more Nietzche. :D

Nothing more imbarassing than arriving late to your first battle.
I mean, I can wave my hammer and all but the lack of dirt and blood reveals I didn't do squat.

I did get the kids to school on time though.

HAHAHA Who the hell did you piss off?

Really sorry to hear your being picked on, personally you been really cool. But there you go, sometimes you get punished for no reason.

Small investment of time! Yeah roughly the small investment of time a baby takes out your life ;)..
Some people like self flagellation however, so if your one of those... Congrats on your harsh punishment
