Hi,
When I view my profile summary, I can see an empty place for my Avatar.
However, the page I get on clicking Edit Profile doesn't include a field for changing this.
Have they been purposefully disabled?

Yes. Avatars are disabled on this board by member consensus.
One shouldn't accept or resort to the mutilation of science to appease the mentally impaired.

The FAQ as it appears in the forum itself is generic to XMB or whatever board type this is and if it is anything like PHPBB modifying the FAQ is a
painful process of installing mods and altering codes and such.
