The compound is bis(1,2,4-oxadiazole)bis(methylene) dinitrate. I don't think it will replace TNT anytime soon, but it's still interesting.

Thanks for the share. It is also interesting that its a bit of a gap in the market, a good melt castable explosive that isn't TNT. I suppose plastic
explosives have been all the rage.
Also, the news site made a bit of a blunder I thought was hilarious, there was just too much science coming out in one day for some poor editor
