Making Cellobiose
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone in the community has experience with acidic hydrolysis of cellulose to cellobiose? I would very much like to have around
20g of this disaccharide for an experiment isolating unique yeast species. It looks very expensive, even if I could manage to find a seller.
Cellulose is cheap, so I am wondering if there is a straight-forward method of making and separating it from cellulose, even if its not particularly
efficient.
I appreciate any thoughts you might have, thank you!
