Avast HTML file conversion

I have an Avast HTML video file that I need to convert so that it can be posted in this forum. Can anyone tell me how to do this? This needs to be a file that can be uploaded thru YouTube.

Many thanks in advance.

I use format factory for video conversions. I have not heard of avast format however.

If you are comfortable with the command line ffmpeg is a very capable piece of software.

I thought avast made anti-virus software so I'm also unsure what exactly you have.

VLC should be able to convert it. Open the file, click convert/save at the bottom.

Also I think ffmpeg is packaged with VLC, so you should be able to use that ffmpeg on the command line on whatever OS you have:
ffmpeg -i yourinputfile out.mp4

I am trying these file converters but having no luck. There's always some hangup along the way in the download or execution. So, if you have any other ideas please keep them coming.

NCH Prism Video Converter is what I use to convert video formats, PM me if you want a copy.

I haven't ever heard of an avast HTML video file. If you upload it to Dropbox or Mega or somewhere else, we can see what you're working with. In my experience HTML files don't actually contain much besides text.
