Just a heads up, it comes in a steel bottle with an inner cap(that you discard once removed) that is sort of like an inverted beer cap. It was a real
bitch to get that out of the neck- had to use very small pliers to get a grip on it :S

I2 I think and more sulphuric acid perhaps? But I didn't ordered them as they are so basic chemicals here.
When I order something, then it means, it's very hard to make, very complex chemical or very dangerous or very expensive if made by myself or not
avalaible on local stores. I mostly use Merck or Sigma-Aldrich for this.

I live in the US and I did get it from the farm store. Greenhouse grade. Half if for my pyro friend in Louisiana. The other half is for my own BP.

Oddly here in Canada you can get almost anything but since 9/11 you can't get things like KNO3 from suppliers... My supplier had a warning that comes
up for a few of their chemicals stating that it is only available to schools and businesses. Thank god I have a couple kilos stock piled from years
ago!

Yeah that sucks. It happened fairly recently (around 2009) after some idiot muslim extremists tried blowing up the Toronto stock exchange.
Also, It really bugs my why potassium permanganate is restricted here. The best I could find is they don't want 55kg sacks being exported to Colombia

Go to the country (I was in northern Ontario) and look for a store that sells water purification products, they usually sell potassium permanganate to
remove iron impurities from well water. The store that I went to sold 2.5kg tubs of the stuff for around 50$. I didn't buy any so I can't say anything
on the purity, but it looked quite pure.

A local plumbing store sold me this for about 50$, I found it by googling "my city+potassium permanganate"

Quartz tube!
Not a chemical but sort of neat- a huge quartz tube! It was given to me by a friend who works at a chlorate/chlorite plant not far from here. They
replaced these which are used to encapsulate sensors in the electrolysis reactors. I'm guessing it could be used as a test tube?

Quartz is neat stuff to be sure. I bought three boxes of tubing made by Heraeus sealed in plastic with specs on each tube enclosed in the plastic. It
was used for making fiber optic cable. I couldn't resist because it was so cheap on ebay at the time.
There are these quartz "test tubes" for sale on eBay now, kind of nice too.

For storage of fuming acids and the like? There isn't much else (cap-wise) that will stand up to long-term storage.
My precious stash of conc. nitric is in a glass bottle with a fluoropolymer cap.
Got 1 gm of palladium chloride on the way plus some Tin (II) Chloride.
