We '''really''' need to get everything moved over from the old wiki and onto here. To add a new page, currently you'll need to go up to the URL, highlight the part that says main page, and replace it with the title of the page you're moving. That should give you a thing that says the page doesn't exist but you can create it. Create it, and then paste the page from the old wiki in there you MUST use the source editor on Wikia, since it follows the same format as this wiki and contains all of the needed information. Equal sections of the alphabet will be allocated to each contributor. Redirects do not need to be migrated. These allocations will be posted here once they are figured out. All images will need to be reuploaded separately... that is the next project though, as currently there are issues with file uploads on site. Pictures from Wikimedia Commons still work, and will be used if a filename from the old wiki refers to one used on Wikimedia Commons.

Welcome to the Sciencemadness Wiki

This wiki is meant to be a repository of information that is useful to home chemists. It is edited only by members of the Sciencemadness Discussion Board, rather than being open to the public, meaning it is guaranteed to be a collaborative work of home chemists from around the world. Here you can find descriptions and pictures of many chemical compounds, write-ups of procedures developed by Sciencemadness members, and much more.

The wiki is still in its early stages and there are a few technical difficulties that we are experiencing, but it is now acceptably usable. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding the wiki, you can either send a U2U to Texium (zts16) or post them in the wiki subforum.
Now, without further ado, welcome to the beta version of the official Sciencemadness Wiki!

Dear Editors:

If you are looking for something to do, see the links in the left sidebar. There you will find links to a list of Stubs (very short pages that are lacking detailed information), as well as pages with broken file links or missing categories. Make sure to read the editing guidelines before you begin. Otherwise, add pages for whatever you are feeling passionate about, and have fun!

Infoboxes are now sort of working! A trial chemical compound one can be seen here: Acetic acid An element infobox can be seen here: Sulfur See the "How to infobox" tutorial in the sidebar for help with setting them up.
