toluene and w.spirit

can toluene and w.spirit to be homogenous involved in a paint? are they separation?

I just tried it, and yes: they do form a homogenous mix! Only thing is that the appearance goes from both being transluscent, to opaque and "milky".

This is logical considering that Toluene is an aromatic hydrocarbon, and that white spirit is a mixture of saturated aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons.

that just was he did, isn't it? I think you would need something more polar than toluene to get two layers. Damn, even dry IPA and EtOAc mixes with over 10 vol of pet ether, not MeOH though.

Are you planning on sepearting toluene from white spirit or something?

i did a paint. this in paint w.spirit and toluene use with to together. what will happen in the course of time ?, separation, settling,etc....i wanna to learn what know at paint?

Toluene and white spirit are miscible in all proportions.

If you got clouding or layering then one of them isn't "pure"
or they are wet.

In the case of moisture any clouding will clear overnight as the water separates.
