Can someone please help me if Nickel(II) chloride.hexahydrate reacts with etylenediamine what would the structure be i presume a tris(etylenediamine)nickel(II)chloride

Probably. :)

EDIT: Though perhaps not.
It depends on the charge of the ions. If the 3(en) makes the complex neutral, it won't be Ni(II) anymore, and there won't be any chlorides.

I'm afraid I do not understand the question? Are you looking for the XRD structure of Ni(en)3Cl2×2H2O? Or you need just the synthesis procedure? If the later it takes 2 min of searching:

64. Tris(ethylenediamine)nickel(II) chloride 2-hydrate, Tris(propylenediamine)nickel(II) chloride 2-hydrate.
