In the early internet days usenet was a common way to discuss all sorts of topics including science/chemistry.
Someone made a browsable archive of old usenet posts.
The general chemistry section has more than 8000 threads.

I cant imagine what kind of things you’d find there. Probably boring stuff, but still very interesting.

I don't see why it would be boring, lots of the science we practice predates usenet so I am sure it isn't boring, plus I too used to use usenet back in the day.

This could be a goldmine of old procedure lost to time.

Well, maybe i misphrased. What i really mean is time consuming. You would probably get a little bored after a while, but none the less there is awesome stuff in there.

Yes, now I understand, I do agree that it would take a long time and probably get annoying, almost need a team to take a section each and siphon through it lol.
