I am now back for a while. Had a few days of non-stop work with two jobs, then some work travel and then a vacation. So now I am rested and recovered some from the work. I have to finish up a few orders that are not quite done yet, and then I will try to catch up with the messages. Thanks to everyone who helped me get most things completed before I got too busy or was traveling.

I am starting back on the books. I am trying to make a list of just a few of the books I have to give away shortly, there are about 5 boxes sorted through so far. As an example, I have many books on toxicology, lab safety, PC basics, macs and Mac programming, powerpoint, photoshop, and more in the current pile. I also have some softer science books on decision making, science policy, and environment.

It will take up to a year to sort through them all, but I am trying to get some lists together of things, as like the glassware, I cannot even get to the boxes of books on the bottom and back of the pile yet, so the sooner I get rid of some, the more I can look through. To give some perspective, one of the piles is boxes 4 deep, 4 high and 3 wide, each 18" cubed. I also have already filled 4 large bookcases, but not yet made a list of all of them. It is daunting, even through I work part time in the book business. Many of these books are older and don't have a barcode or ISBN number on the back, so they are harder to make a list of.

If it helps.. I am trying to gather more analysis oreinted glass as of late.. Burets, volumetric flasks.. melting point tubes..pastuer pipettes. That sort of thing. PM inbound but I'm assembling a list. Once again: thank you very much Dr Bob!!

I have lots of assorted items like that, some are listed, some I only have one or two of many types, like volumetric pipettes, so I have not listed them well, as each one is different. I still have lots of columetric flasks, some melting point tubes (I think 100 for $3 or 2 tubes of 100 for $5 was what I asked last time.). I only have a few boxes of pasteur pipettes left. I do still have a lot of manual small volume pipettors like the Gilson variety, from 10 ul up to 5 or 10 ml. I have lots of 200 ul ones along with tips, only a few 1 ml ones left. I just need to get the time to catalog them all.

The books will be listed here and the postage paid via Paypal or such. My friend Ed and I will list some of the more valuable books on Amazon, but he does not have space to list them all, so the ones he cannot keep will be put on a list here. Not sure how to do that neatly, but something like the list below.

The first number is the ISBN number, then the title, author, and what box it was in (helps me find it). If you want to see more about any book. jut cut and paste that number into Amazon's search window and look for it. Once I get a more orderly list, I will attempt to create an Excel spreadsheet as well, and make a link, but it is just not ready yet. A few of these have already go to local teachers, all items will be subject to prior donation. This is only a small sample, I still have dozens of boxes to look through.

I found a box of more small glass bottles recently, almost al with Teflon lined caps, and I would like to sell them to get them out of my way. I have more 125 ml amber quarpak bottle with Teflon caps, some 120 ml wide mouth clear Qorpak bottles, some 2 oz bottles, and some clear square bottles with Teflon caps in ~3 and ~6 oz sizes. For anyone who wants a variety of bottles, I can do a package of 10 of them now for $16, plus a few other samples. The shipping would be $12 for flat rate priority mail (total of $28), or slightly less for east coasters. If you want 20 bottles, the shipping via flat rate box would only be $16, so a total of $48, and I will fill any space left with vials. I will adjust the mix to your needs, as best as I can.

Here is the latest list, I am running completely out of 24/40 flasks, and many sizes of media bottles, filter flasks, and erlenmeyers. If the list says 0, then I am out for now. I am also backed up a bit on orders, I have a few people I need to answer requests on, so it may take a little while to answer messages, so sorry.

I have had a number of people ask about glass flash chromatography columns recently, and they were scattered across a few places, so I have recently tried to gather most of them and take some photos. I have already sold a few of them, but still have many left, even more than pictured. There are several types, 24/40 jointed tops, S35 jointed tops, and a few other types (open top, 29/42, threaded, S50, etc).

I sell single columns for $10 per 1/2 of diameter, but if you are willing to buy a set of 4 or more, I will offer a discount, typically a set of 4 or 5 for $100 total, depending on size and complexity. If anyone is willing to buy the ones without built in frits (they require a piece of glass wool and a layer no sand on the bottom before the silica gel is added) I will go even lower in price, just contact me with your wish list and I will make a price. I do also still have a few air flow controllers for the S35 columns as well; I would include one with a set of 4 or more.

I want to ask anyone who is waiting on me for a response to please remind me of what you are waiting on. I have been very busy, and as well, I have had a number of people ask me about things and many then haven't gotten back once I sent them a message back or never paid once invoiced, so I have a growing pile of stuff that I have gathered for people, and I am having a hard time keeping track of so many orders, some of which I pulled months ago, and have not heard back about. The u2u system is hard to search or sort, and I have about 3000 messages there, so some of the older messages are harder to find. Sorry for the delays, but I am just getting a lot of piles of stuff built up.

Here is an updated copy of the remaining inventory. I am running out of many more items, but also found a few items to add, like 2 2L sep funnels, 2 250 ml addition funnels, and some brand new oval stir bars in a couple of sizes. Still have some brand new Pyrex 250 ml beakers for cheap as well. Pretty much out of 24/40 flasks (I have a few flat bottom ones left, not listed yet, ask me for those), still have many 14/20 sizes left.

I also found a few 2L glass stoppered reagent bottles, many have small chips on the top edge of the stopper but are otherwise, fine. I would be willing to take offers on them, they are bulky and I would like to get rid of some, but they are heavy to ship, so best for east coast or with other items to keep the postage low. Also still have a few 2000 ml grad cylinders with glass stopper tops.

Just found some more sep funnels, addition funnels, and some 3 neck rbfs. Still trying to make a list to add to the inventory. Also found a box of 29/42 glassware, lots of 3 necks, some condensers, adapters, and addition funnels. And I have found enough parts to assemble some more 14/20 distillation kits as well.

Here is a new copy of the inventory. I am running out of many more items, but also found a few items to add, like sep funnels, addition funnels, and some brand new oval stir bars in a couple of sizes. Still have some brand new Pyrex 250 ml beakers for cheap as well. Pretty much out of 24/40 flasks, but have many 14/20 and just found a box of 29/42 rbfs plus almost an entire distillation kit in 29/42 if anyone would be interested in that, I can assemble a pretty nice setup which would work from 250 ml to 3+L. Also still have a bunch of crimp top serum bottles, caps and a 20 mm crimper, more vials, some silica gel cartridges, HPLC vials, and more.

I can ship to Europe and other countries, up to 4 pounds is pretty easy, costs up to $40 for 4 pounds, depending on location, so only practical for smaller or lighter items, like 14/20 kits, vials, smaller adapters and items, anything light. If you tell me what you are looking for, I can estimate the postage. It is not practical for heavy items like filter flasks, inexpensive items like beakers or test tubes (the postage is more than the item), or electronics (since most are 110V, 60 Hz for US use).

Need help regarding lab equipment

OK so I have a problem in my country its very annoying to obtain even some of the most basic chems (thank you meth heads) nitric acid allso is incredibly difficult to get my hands on believe me I have tried at least a dozen ways but due to tight restrictions and high prices it can't be purchased for the casual hobbyist.
I have tried excuses such as for etching or cleaning jewlery but no luck other than company's who ask ridiculous prices eg one company told me they would at $120 for 500ml of 70% I mean who the fluff charges that.

This means of course I have to make my own which is actually one of the things I enjoy about science even if the gov says I can't have it I can.
Its kind of like a big F U if you will .

Any who getting back on topic I have run out of the nitric I had stashed from eBay but it will no longer ship to NZ so I must make my own.
I intend to use the nitrate salt sulphuric acid distillation method.
Thing is I'm new to buying distillation kits and was wondering are the cheap Chinese made no brand ($100 and under) kits any good for this purpose they do have some boro ones and are sold on eBay quite cheaply.
if not could somone please point me in the direction of a kit that will ship to NZ at a reasonable price.

Final question my acid was stored in an borosilacate bottle but since these are rather pricey particularly the ones with gg stoppers could I get away with beer bottles or in other words are all types of glass acid resistant or just boro? Google dosent seem to be able to awnser this question to my satisfaction.

if so then as far a caps go I'm thinking either spray the cap with tefflon lube and let evaporate and reapeat to form a coating or tefflon tape around threads will either of these work ?
If it helps the concentrations I intend to store will be HNO3 65-70% and H2SO4 70-98% for no longer than six months standing in a tub filled with sodium bicarb.

Any input would be appreciated.

I don't know what hurdles you will have to jump to import glass to NZ. I know what happens this side of the ditch.
My experience of Chinese glass is good but I think you might run into trouble if you go for ultra cheap.

Bottles? My WFNA is in a small amber bottle previously used to hold peroxide. It has a teflon cap. No issues thus far.

Beyond that, a lot depends on what you are using your lab for and what quantities you are working with.

I have finally assembled a few more 14/20 kits now; they will likely be my last kits, as I am running out of the pieces, I had to buy and trade a few items to make complete kits. They each include about 10 flasks, from 5-250 or 500 ml, a mix of 1, 2, or 3 neck rbfs, and a few pear or recovery shaped ones. They also have a dist. head, claisen adapter, curved vacuum inlet, straight vac adapter, therm adapter, gas inlet, simple liebig condenser, 14/20 glass stopper, powder funnel, and a few other odds and ends. That kit costs $100 plus about $10 for postage within the US. Postage to Europe is about $40, that is pretty high, and limits the size of flasks and the total weight to 4 pounds.

I can additionally add an addition funnel (10, 25, or 50 ml, $20), coil condenser ($20), filter funnels, fraction collectors, or many other pieces (see photos or spreadsheet). Every kit is slightly different, so if you want certain things, let me know and I can try to customize it. I am a little backlogged right now on orders, but should catch up soon, and these are mostly ready to pack and ship, so I can ship them quickly. And I still have many 14/20 flasks in certain sizes and styles, but am running out of some sizes again.

I have found a box of covered glass dishes. They almost look like Pyrex dishes for leftovers, but I have since discovered that they are sold for staining slides and other purposes. But they would work well as small containers for the lab. I have about a dozen of each size. I am happy to sell them for cheap, so if you are interested, let me know, make me an offer for some or I can throw in a few free with any other order. I have a few other very small round covered containers, not sure what they are good for, but happy to sell them cheap or give some away.

I have found several boxes of 29/42 glassware recently, with lots of multineck frbfs, addition funnels, adapters, and more. If you are looking for anything in that joint size, please inquire.

I have gathered together a 29/42 distillation and reaction setup with about 6 rbfs, from 100 - 1000 ml (one to 4 necks), distillation head, condenser, claisen, curved vacuum adapter, gas inlets, addition funnel, and more, it would cost $125 plus postage. And I can add more pieces as needed. If anyone is interested, let me know, and we can discuss exactly what you want.

I have also found a few more 1 and 2 L sep funnels, a few people had asked me about those and I was out, but I have a few now.

I recently found several 250 ml sep funnels with missing glass stopcocks, and found stopcocks and clips for them, greased them up to work and will sell them for only $25 each since they are glass stopcocks.

I have also found PTFE stopcocks for a number of smaller sep funnels in 30, 60, and 125 ml, so I am well stocked with those now. I have been a bit busy lately, so a little slow to answer people, but I am catching up now. I still have a few 14/20 dist. kits ready as well.

Do you have enough glassware left for a 14/20 vacuum distillation setup with a 500 mL main flask, and a few smaller ones as receivers? And perhaps a Buchner funnel, preferably polypropylene? Also, are you anywhere near Asheville? I have a chemistry-inclined friend that'll be heading through the area, and might have him pick me up some stuff. Even if you're not, he might not mind going out of his way to pick it up. Surprised to see you still getting rid of stuff here; I put in an order a few years ago, then had an eye injury (not chemistry related) and sort of dropped off the map.

I still have a few 14/20 kits assembled, a couple have a 500 ml 3 neck as the largest flask. I am asking $100 for the kit, it comes with everything but the thermometer, I can add one of those for $15-20, depending on what type you want. I'll send a message about the details.

I am a bit surprised to still be selling this myself, but I have sold much of the bulk of the glassware, most of the beakers, most larger erlenmeyers, most 24/40 rbfs, and much more has been sold, but I still have a lot of more unusual items, a large amount of 24/40 accessories, lots of 14/20 and 29/42 jointed items, and certain items like volumetric flasks, small and screw thread test tubes, vials, and a few sizes of bottles. Fortunately, what is left is shrinking in size, but still fills many boxes, but I also never realized how many boxes I actually had at the start, as I had shoved them in to so many nooks and crannies in my garage, basement, and other storage spaces.

That is part of my problem, the stuff if not all in one neat place, but shoved into boxes in a number of places. I am slowly neatening it up, but still have some boxes with a little of everything in them. That is part of why my inventory changes with time, as I find things, bus also I have ended up helping a few other people sell odd bits of glassware that have asked me to help them also clean up a few other small labs.

I still also have some new test tubes, mostly smaller ones, like 10x75, 13 x 100mm, but also some larger ones, and screw top cap ones, which are very expensive if bought retail. I also have a number of boxes of 1, 2, 4, 6, an 8 dram vials with various cap types, some clear, some amber, most are boxes of either 72, 100, or 144, they tend to be $10 - 20 for a whole box (depending on size/weight) or about $1/handful for smaller amounts.

I still have lots of large TLC plates, chambers, flash columns, even some HPLC columns, if you are looking for anything, just let me know. I am traveling a lot of the next 2 weeks, so I may be slow to respond for a little while, but I will get back as soon as I can.

If people are willing to take a variety of sizes and types, I can do a medium flat rate box with more than 20 various smaller (mostly 2-4 oz) bottles, almost all PFTE lined (at least 20), plus a variety of whatever other bottles and vials fit in it for $20, plus the postage of $12 each. If you want larger bottles, there will be fewer in the box, but the same price. The postage is a reasonable deal if you want many smaller bottles.

If anyone is interested in Qorpak bottles, I can get the Amber narrow mouth ones with PTFE caps, in 120 and 240 ml sizes right now for a good price, which would be under $2 each. These are ideal for bromine, acids, organics, nastys, almost anything other then HF.

But I don't want to buy more stuff unless someone is willing to buy it from me. I still have the 60 ml bottles I bought a case of a while back after several people said that they wanted some, but few have bought any.

A few more things I have found recently. I found another package of new 120 ml narrow mouth amber glass qorpaks with PTFE lined caps and plastic safety coating. I am asking $3 each for them, plus shipping. I have found quite a cache of bottles lately.

I also have found several boxes of used glass volumetric pipettes of all sizes and types, several boxes of them. If anyone here can use a bunch, I am willing to sell them cheap, the shipping may be more than the cost of the pipettes.

I have matched some Soxhlet extractors with the correct condensers finally, so I have a few of each. They are all used, all have 24/40 bottom joints, some have some minor chips or the top outlet of the condenser is broken, or other minor issues, but all should work fine. I am asking about 1/4 of the new price, that seems fair for some wear. If anyone wants two sizes, I will drop $10 of the pair. Let me know what state you are in and I can calculate the postage as well. They are fragile, so while they are light, they need to be packed well, and the box may be a bit larger than normal for my packing. No rbfs are included, I am almost complete out of 24/40 rbfs, except for a few 250 ml 3 necks, and a few other odd ones.

I can make a 29/42 setup for nearly any budget, I have found several boxes of it, and they include nearly everything. But the basic kit includes a few flasks 250 - 1000 ml(most of the 29/42 rbfs are multinecks, but I have a few smaller one necks, 250 and 500 ml), distillation head, claisen, vacuum adapters, gas inlets, stoppers, therm adapter, condenser, Dean Stark, and other bits for $100, then I can add refux condensers, addition funnels, short path dist head, and many other 29/42 accessories, all for less than that their equivalent 24/40 item if you buy the kit. I have enough 29/42 items to make at least 3 or 4 kits if people are interested. This is ideal for larger scale work, from 250 ml up to 5 L. I have a few 1, 2, 3, and 5 L rbfs in 29/42, most are 3 necks, some are 4, some have larger center joints.

I was having a hard time using the Excel file, because of how many rows corresponded to stuff that wasn't available. So, what I did was select the "Approximate Quantity Available" column, then select a zero value in that column, then sort by that value. It should hide all the rows that don't have zero in that column. Then I just selected them all, deleted them, and then there was a little icon in the "# available" column that let me undo the sort, which put them in their original order, minus the deleted ones.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. I wanted to just make a quick post to address a few questions I get a lot. I will be very busy with a few projects the next month or so, but then after mid-Jan, I will make an effort to update my inventory and perhaps have a few sales to help clear out more old stuff. I am losing one of my storage spaces shortly (one of the many projects is to clear it out soon) so I trying to consolidate the remaining glassware and re-inventory it once it is closer to being mostly in one or two spaces.

A few comments, I try to ship the best of whatever I have of things first. So if I had 10 of an item, I ship the best of the 10 first, then the next best items, etc. Once I am down to only a few of something I once had a lot of, the chances are it will be more used, more likely scratched, and maybe chipped or have a broken drop tube (eg, sep funnels). I try to describe that if there are issues, but keep in mind that almost all of this glassware is used unless described as new. Sometimes I sell new as used, but most is used. It will have scratches, may be less than analytically clean, and might have pencil marks (tares are common), labels, or other marks.

And glassware with normal enclosed bubbles, small scratches and chips is fine to use for most uses (not good for diazomethane distillations however, I admit). I have been using very used looking glassware for over 30 years, almost every single piece of glassware I had in undergrad, graduate and the last 5 years is at least a decade old, used every day, and very scratched. It is fine for rotovap, distillations, reactions, etc.

I would not use really scratched stuff for explosives, pressure reactions, hydrogenations, diazomethane reactions, or extremely valuable reactions, but normal scratches are not a problem for everyday chemistry. Some people have thought old rbfs were dangerous under vacuum, but even a high vacuum is only 1 atmosphere, no matter how good your pump is, so that is not a problem for any good quality glass.

Only CRACKS are bad, I do not use or ship any cracked glassware, but even that can be used for some functions. I used a cracked grad. cylinder for years without a problem for simple solvents, but don't send items with cracks to people except as broken items to repair. I do replace or refund things that break in the mail, but I don't wish to take refunds on used glassware only because it had a scratch or bubble in it, almost any used glassware will have some scratches in it, mostly due to stir-bars or washing brushes. So if you want brand new glassware, please buy it brand new, not used. Mine is used, but good or better, except as noted.

I have a Pope brand, 14.5" tall, 6" ID, 7"OD (38cm tall, ~15 cm ID, ~18 cm OD). That should be about 3-4 liters in volume. I have two more of them that look very similar to it also.

Oh, by the way, I just want to say a public "thank you" to Dr. Bob for putting so much time and care into my order, even though my list of what I wanted was more of a stream of consciousness than a list. (ie, "oh, and I'll take four of those 50 mL RBFs, since they're so cheap. oh wait, I actually have way too many of those, and don't use them very much, never mind. can I get 50 mL erlenmeyers instead, since that way they're less easy to tip over?") He also threw in these amber glass chemical-resistant bottles that have this rubberized stuff on them so that if you put a bunch of them in a bag, they barely make any noise or bang together. Sort of like a built-in cover like they put on wine bottles when you buy several of them from a liquor store. Perfect for storing your expired nitroglycerin! (kidding! kidding!)

I didn't get to use most of it until just recently, but I really love having a 14/20 set. Several times I've dropped stuff on the floor that would have broken for sure if it was in 24/40. I got a 500 mL Erlenmeyer and a 250 mL RBF off eBay for solvent distillations, but considering most of the stuff I do is experimental anyway, better to have a glassware set that can be used to synthesize just enough product to do a few tests on.

I hadn't heard of Alfa Quartz, sounds like a good place. Maybe, if distilling sulfuric acid is all you need to do, then I have seen it done in a normal flask. I do not like to take chances with glassware though. High-silicon stainless steel is supposedly resistant to attack by sulfuric acid. Specific grades have been designed for it.

A ceramic high fired clay retort, if made from good pure clay, can also resist strong acids, high temperatures, and is made of silica and alumina, so should be able to resist chemical like silica or alumina.

This is not the thread to discuss sulfuric acid distillation, so I'll stop, but I saw a post of yours saying you wanted a quartz flask for sulfuric acid distillation.

I don't have any quartz glassware (as far as I know), the only company that I know that does much quartz work now is Prism Research Glass, which is just down the street, use to use them a lot. Also found M5 Scientific Glassblowing looking in Google, they are also in NC, but I am not familiar with them.

Alfa Quartz out of Donghai has some quartz retorts that look great (they look great online anyway), but they have some hard-driving negotiators who want a lot of money, so I'm not sure what the price is.

Technical Glass Products, a company from Ohio, sells many fused quartz items. A 100ml 24/40 flask is $86, 250ml is $127, and a 500ml is $130. Not cheap by any means, but it would be nearly impossible to find any quartz RBF's for cheap.

Edit: Bonus that these flasks are not custom, you can just order online.

I get the reluctance to use steel, but those quartz flasks are really not cheap.
Nile Red seemed to do fine with standard borosilicate glass.
Quartz Scientific sells 24/40 quartz boiling flasks in up to 500ml.
One of their 500ml flasks sells for $138.
You mention Alfa as willing to negotiate and their negotiators wanting a lot of money, but they will ask for much more than they expect to get and through some negotiation you should be able to bring price down considerably.

I have a lot of volumetric pipettes still here, from 1 ml to 50 or 100 ml, literally boxes of them, all mixed up. If anyone is interested in buying an assortment, by the pound, I can make sure it contains some of each size or more of one if you prefer. They are long, thin and fragile, so shipping one is tough, likely would just cram a long box or mailing tube full of them, and presume that a few will break, rather than bubblewrap each individually. I am happy to make a deal, I need to clean out some space.

I also have some various sized Pyrex baking dishes (not sure which are real borosilicate and which aren't, that is a crap shoot) that were used years ago as secondary containment for chemicals and solvents, so not ideal for cooking in, but great for lab work or making a lab lasagna. My space is filling with more books, so I need to clear some glassware. I would sell most dishes for a buck or two, plus shipping, or throw the into any other order free if you pay the extra shipping costs, as they weigh a pound or two.

Part of the problem is that it needs updating in general, but I have not had much time to do that lately, plus much of my remaining items are still in boxes or are one of a kind items that are hard to describe in a text format. I have been sorting through some glass serological pipettes for a few orders and found a bunch of used ones recently. I have a number of them in 10, 5, 2, and 1 ml, and some down to 1/2, 1/4, and 1/10 of a ml. They are a mix of brands and styles, but most are similar in each size. Some are disposable type, many are meant for reuse and very good quality.

I also have a number of smaller, class A, single volume pipettes, mostly 1, 2, 5 ml, but many other volumes, including some odd numbers and fractions.

I am happy to gather about 5 of each size, (1, 2, 5, and 10ml) plus a few other ones and a handful of fixed volume ones for $15. They sell on Ebay for anywhere from a few dollars a bundle for the disposable ones to a few dollars each for the good ones. That price seems in line with the ones on Ebay or a little lower, but if you want a specific mix or amount, I can do that as well.

Also, if anyone wants some new glass serological pipettes, I have a few new glass ones in 1, 2, 5, and 10 ml, but not many, all are loose, not sterile or wrapped/sealed. So not for FDA/GMP/clinical usage.

If someone wants a bunch of 1ml ones, there are some cheap on Ebay: (I would buy to resell at this price, but have no extra space or time, maybe someone can do a group purchase.)

Anyone happen to have a decent vacuum pump for sale ?

Because mine just kicked the bucket. Well, not entirely certain its permanent yet, but its been searing hot out today, had the vacuum on doing a distillation and buggered it I didn't come back to check on it, turned the vacuum off to make a few adjustments to the setup, since there seemed to be an air leak somewhere, one moment the distillate would start boiling furiously, and the next minute, settle down to a bare few bubbles, and unable to restore the distillation.

Thankfully the compound being distilled has a C=O group, and a bisulfite adduct can be formed instead, although doubtless at the expense of quality/quantity of the end intended compound.

But when I went to start up the pump again, it died on me. Overheated I think, damn thing had gotten nearly too hot to touch.

Looks like my pump isn't totally dead. It started up again after a night cooling down, but its prone to overheating now it seems when running for extended times. Will handle filtrations and stripping low-boiling solvents, but distillation of high-boiling compounds is proving too much and it keeps overheating and cutting out.

For the moment, I'll have to try placing a one-way valve in between the vac line and the line to the receiver, vac-grease it and leave an ungreased area for some epoxy or superglue to secure the line splice so I can attempt to pump it down quickly and leave it at low pressure without the pump constantly running.

Still need a new one though. how much do the Ar regulators cost you? and what size? because I can find small ones locally for fairly cheap.

I am back from a bit of travel now, and trying to finish catching up on inquiries, so thanks for people's patience.

I just found a few packages of 16 x 150 mm disposal glass culture tubes (aka cheap test tubes).

I have some sealed packages of 250 that I would ask $10 each for, plus shipping. Those would weigh about 9 pounds, so as little as $10 to the east coast or $30+ to the west coast.

Alternatively, I have some open packages, and can sell a bag of 24 tubes for $1 each. Those would cost $4 each postage by first class mail anywhere in the US. Or I can do a box of almost 250 loose tubes in a medium flat rate box anywhere in the US for $15 postage. These may incur some breakage since they would be bulk packed, but still the cheapest way to ship.

If you have other numbers in mind, let me know, and I can figure the postage. I have some other sized test tubes as well, just ask for more information and shipping prices.

Unfortunately no short 24/40 vigreaux columns left. Don't have many 24/40 large round bottoms either.

I do have one 24/40 distillation kit, which is mostly complete, but only have a few rbfs, I think I have 100 and 250 ml rbfs, as well a 250 and 500 ml three neck rbfs. It has a distillation head, claisen adapter, straight and curved vacuum adapters, liebig condenser, gas inlet, therm adapter, and a few other parts. I can customize it as much as possible, if you want to modify, swap or add to it.

I do have some 100 and 250 ml flat bottom 24/40 flasks, if anyone is looking for them.
