I've got copper dendrites, some in acid (pH ≈ 2) and some in base (ph ≈ 12). I'm looking for suggestions on how to get them out and dry with minimal oxidation so as to keep them nice and pretty.

Dendrites in Base

Rinse with ethanol and than with ether (or another volatile solvent). It should dry quickly.

Dissolve a little oil in the ether so that gets left as a protective coating.

Neither of it. I am Melkor, dark Valar with bunch of Balrog bodyguards
. And Smaug is my best friend

Agh, I should be banished to the Void myself for getting Angband and Angmar mixed up.

I don't have any ether on hand, would acetone do?
