Used voguls prep to synthesize the styrene after filtering of crude styrene waited mabey 24hrs to recrystallize the product and only about half of it
turned to oil and would not crystalize what is my best route to fix this and where did I go wrong

did you take any shortcuts during the prep?
what are the properties of the oil?
you can't really get help if you only say 'it turned to oil'
although if I had to hazard a guess, it would be your crude styrene messed with the reaction.
