Potassium iodide using iron filings

Hi,
I am trying to find the references for the synthesis of potassium iodide, using iodine and iron filings. I remember I got it from here, I remember the format of the page, but I am unable to find it.

Can anyone help me with it?

I remember it describes using I2 with iron to form FeI2, then adding more I2 to form Fe3I8, then add potassium carbonate to form KI, then filtering the solution, concentrate it and filter the obtained solid.

I also remember there was some in-process-controls that need to be checked... and that is what is missing from my memory.

Any additional information would be trully appreciated it.
I am planning on documenting it with pictures and upload them here, just in case it is helpful.

Thank you all!

I found two results. I just searched "Fe3I8," and got these.
