Looking for some Nitroethane

SuperOxide - 4-2-2025 at 18:27

Looking for a new source of affordable Nitroethane. The stuff is a pain to make and distilling it from available OTC sources is possible but I'd much rather just buy it.

I use to get it from another member if the forums (chemship1978), but he's recently gotten out of the chemical supply business. Hoping to find another affordable supplier.

$37 for 100 ml? Does it come in a gold plated container? lol.

Yeah, that's a bit too much. I was paying about $199 per L before, which is still probably a bit much. Hoping to find something more affordable.

what do you need it for?

In my experience nitroalkanes are generally expensive, regardless of the source.

Even Indian suppliers, who are generally cheap, reliable and unrivalled in variety, tend not to offer it other than in industrial quantities, i.e. 25+ kg.
