Weird paint thinner found in old garage

I found an old paint thinner in a garage that seems of value. I want a way to see what it really is. It says on the bottle that it's volatile and "extremely flammable" though I haven't tested this. Is there any good and hopefully simple way to test the bottles contents and how?

It is quite old and could contain some old and usefull solvent. It is in a brown glass bottle but idk if that helps.

See if its miscible with water and check boiling point. If its flammable its unlikely to be a chlorinated solvent.

It dissolves in water and I don't know the boiling point (not in my lab at the moment). Is it possible for it to be a mix of solvents like xylene/hexane/heprane and chlorinated solvents?

No. If it is soluble in water, it is probably acetone or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK).

Ok, I'll test when I can!
