Milling machine wear and tear

Hello,
Asking about a milling machine may be pushing my luck a bit so if the thread is 'detritised' I will understand but it would make a great yoke for making Al shaving for going on to make powder.
Would anyone have an opinion on this machine in regard to wear and tear.
The metal scraping marks appear to be still present on the table (not so much in the middle though) which would indicate little wear.
It has been suggested that some devious sellers would actually PUT metal scraping marks on a machine to make it look as if it were not much worn but I don't think this applies in this case.

A picture of the table is attached.

Thanks for your time.

Looks as though someone has ploughed a cutting tool into the bed a few times, but I'd be less concerned about that than any play in the slides, or wear in the quill bearings.

I agree with 2spoons, the wear of the table dont make much difference but the state of bearings and play when you turn direction is a more important.
Especially if you have plans to put motors and controller on it and make a CNC milling machine.

Thanks for replies.

I have no plans to put controllers on it and make a CNC machine.
I cannot inspect the machine.
I was thinking that perhaps since the table looks not to be too worn then that would be an indication that other parts would not be too worn but I guess it it was not lubricated etc there could be problems. It may have been used for small parts only which would leave the extremities of the table looking good but still the machine could have a lot of mileage.
Cheers,
