it comes from non-exact pH control during destruction of the CuNT2HNT. it is harmless in all uses of NaNT.
Thanks a lot.I added a little more NaOH solution into the CuNT2HNT ,and the pH turned to 10,I had thought it wouldn't make any difference.
By the way,is there any good ways to seperate the greenish substance?Though I know it's harmless, yet I desire some pure NaNT for collection.

Let an acetone solution of NaNt evaporate very slowly. the green stuff is a bit more soluble and crystals of NaNT will form that are pretty much
colorless, or maybe have a trace of yellow.QHarryQ - 30-11-2011 at 06:34
But in this way will get a great amount of NaNT lost, for it's high solubility in acetone. Is there any better ways, such as extraction or something
else?Is the yellow stuff Na5-ATZ?Thanks in advance.VladimirLem - 30-11-2011 at 08:52
eh...wtf is NaNT?
Never4 heared about it :/Bot0nist - 30-11-2011 at 09:07
Sodium nitrotetrezole maybe. I'm unclear as well.

It's N-acetyl-N-nitrosotryptophan - 'snot often the word cunt comes up without a flame war in progress . . .
