Nitric oxide in our bodies

What is the percentage of Nitric oxide in our body?

zoombafu - 16-2-2012 at 14:31

what exactly do you need this information for? The percentage would be an extremely small compared to total body weight. Here is an article about nitric oxide levels in blood that may help you.

Thank you !

This question is extremely vague.

Where in the body? Blood, liver, brain, big toe on left foot, ...?

Since you are working very hard on this research, you are ofcourse aware that the molecule is very short lived. The halftime is several seconds, and it performs only local functions (auto/paracrine signalling). Its levels are highly variable, both temporally and spatially.

So, now, define what you mean by 'normal levels'.

Dear Phlogiston
Yes you are right. In fact I want to Know two things about nitric oxide
1) The normal amount of nitric oxide in our breath,
2) What is the relation between nitric oxide and hyperglycaemia?
