Good price on Chems

P_VinnyandTheChig - 10-6-2012 at 11:39

I recently found this company that sells Chems for pretty good price. I haven't found any other company that is cheaper for these specific amounts of chemicals.

The range of items is pretty limited. It looks like this may be a new upcoming company.

It looks like for now they just have some nitric acid, dimethylformamide, and Parabenzoquinone.

However they are great prices, I've so far ordered a bottle of nitric acid from them, and Ill definitely buy more from them when I need it.

Anyways, here is their online store, take a peek if you want chemicals for cheap.

Four reagents ─ hardly a range?
And offering pentaerythritol will likely raise a few eyebrows.

Great prices? Yeah! If you've great, deep pockets . . . ?
Making HNO3 is way, waaay cheaper, and it's fun!

I bought a 2.5l bottle of 67.2% Nitric that was $111 and some change shipped. Hazmat fee is what eats your lunch.

These are the kind of prices I'd like!

I don't see much difference myself once the exchange rate is taken into account.

Well I wasn't looking for the larger quantities. Chemicals are cheaper when you buy in bulk.

However, for a bottle of 950 ml of 61.4% nitric acid from dudadiesel, costs me 88 dollars shipped.

At this website it costs me 64 dollars shipped, for a bottle of 950 ml 70% nitric acid.

[Edit] I did the conversion on the sulphuric + Nitric combo and it's also 64 dollars shipped.

Heh, I bought a liter of 97% sulfuric acid and a liter of 70% nitric acid for about 8$ each.
Everything is pure and the this chemical supply company is only 30 minutes away by car. And that is not nearly as cheap as the ground glass they sell (example: a graham condenser of medium size for 12$).

:o

Care to share this supplier? Do they have a website? Those are some awesome prices

More and more, the shipping of chemicals becomes more expensive than the chemicals themselves. I just bought 1 kg of sodium phosphite (NaH2PO2.H2O) from an eBay supplier in the UK and I just had to pay appr. GBP 5 for the chemical, but I had to pay appr. GBP 10 for the shipping of the chemical from the UK to NL. Such is life nowadays ...
But even with these high shipping charges it still is cheaper than buying it locally for me.

It's a local company, I highly doubt that they will sell to international clients.

Maybe someone else lives in the vicinity? We're not asking for your address, just a name of the company and maybe the town they hang their shingle in?

The website is in Hebrew, good luck with that.
