ebay seller selling tungsten and other metals

Beldensb5 - 18-12-2012 at 11:52

There is a user on ebay right now that is selling a number a cool metals. An example would be some tungsten that he is selling. He has a number of chunks for sale, such as a 500 gram chunk for $60. I don't know what the price should be, but this seems farely cheap. He is selling some other awesome chemicals such as niobium hafnium, tantalum, germanium, rhenium vandium, osmium, etc. Has anyone bought from this seller before?

Edit:

sorry, completely blanked listing the seller. As someone
else said, it is by the seller vinni-pooh. Here's a link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pure-Tungsten-metal-cylinder-element...

It would be helpful to include the name of the seller, or a link to one of his listings!

The starting bid is 60USD, if they are willing to buy it then this price can go much higher.

And don't forget that what could you do with a piece of W? It is good as an electrode in a LARGE electrolytic cell and that's all. There is not so much practical uses of elemental tungsten unless you have an arc furnace and you are a really good smith.

And for the other things he sells: they are not so cheap, they are at normal price. Maybe the ruthenium would worth it, but the others are not so special, they are just good for element collectors.

For the others: the seller name is: vinni-pooh.

That's my friend Ivan, he's a great chemist, collector and guy in general ;) He regularly sells fantastic osmium and other precious metal crystal samples.
