Yes, expo-science, I forgot to say what was my project.

The name is: Des diamants presque gratuits?

Thanks

I will be in Laval this week! Maybe I will be able to visit the display/show!! Maybe...

plante1999 - 21-3-2013 at 06:14

Don't forget it is in quebec city, not in Laval#Montreal, the university laval is in quebec city.

Mailinmypocket - 21-3-2013 at 06:35

Ah... Bummer! Good luck with your project then, Expo-Sciences is a blast, I did it every year in highschool!

Well, there is still the fair tommorow, but the prize were awarded, I got 100$ (which do not even cover the costs of inscription). It was the crush prize on chemistry.

It seams they can't see the potential of a new process of very extremely cheap production of poly(hidridocarbine) applicable on industry. I already risked much by using my idea, and I could got stealed, because I don't have a mean to protect it. Tommorow I will remove most of the information and don't answer question about the process.

Have a good day and please be careful with fairs, you could get scammed.

Oh, and I forgot to say.
Thanks to anyone that was willing to see me.

Nobody got to see me. It is like a joke...

Bezaleel - 28-3-2013 at 04:54

I'm sorry to hear this plante. (Coming over from Europe lies beyond my financial means at any rate.)

I suggest to develop a proces that implements your idea. This is what I'm doing with the truly great ideas and finds I have. Start a business exploiting the benefit of it, is by far the most rewarding, IMHO.

plante1999 - talk to an intellectual property attorney ASAP if you believe your work may be worth protecting. I admit I don't know much about the process, but maybe they offer free consultations.

It is also important to have any potentially patentable discoveries documented in ink in a notebook, giving all details. This entry must be dated and signed. It may also have to be signed by a witness, but I'm not sure about that.

madscientist - 28-3-2013 at 06:45

Indeed, and try not to scribble out any entries - cross things out with a straight line, you want to leave it readable, so that it does not appear that you modified it later for some nefarious purpose.

plante1999 - 28-3-2013 at 08:42

Yea, one of the judge put a sheet of paper in my notebook during the nigth, in a mean that no one else then me saw the paper. The judge was an ingenior, he gave me tricks, and tips, including a consern about idea protections.

I would rather need to find out how to protect my ideas free of costs...

describe the process very carefully, best with some pictures and send it to yourself in an envelope. this should be valid in court as long as it has not been opened, you should make a few copies. the only cost is the cost of stamp.
