Wondering if molecular sieve will hold on to water if solvent is distilled from it? I used it on thf that was slightly discolored.
Also, would vacuum filtration be a problem?

Vaccum filtration is not a problem at all, the water'll stay in it. For distillation water should stay in it depending of how much you heat, but it
would be more practical to filter then distill the filtrate. Don't forget that molecular sieve is just a zeolite and you can reactivate(dry) it by
putting it in an oven to reuse it again.

Usually molecular sieves hold water up until 175-200 C. If your solvent boils much lower than that it should be no problem. I usually distill from
molecular sieves and I have had no problem using those solvents in water sensitive reactions.
