carbon ring hydroxide removal

Hey does anyone here have any insights about the removal of hydroxide from the 4 position on a carbon ring?

If it's the only hydroxyl in the molecule, you can often convert it to a bromide with PBr3, react that with magnesium to make a Grignard complex, and then add water to replace it with a hydrogen.

What specific compound did you have in mind?

This firmly belongs in organics.

I apologize, if a mod could move this it would be greatly appreciated.
