Is anybody in need of unwatched chemicals?

TMCG - 10-12-2013 at 13:06

Hello all! I posted a few months back about possessing some excess anhydrous acetic acid I was looking to sell, but now I would like to ask something else.

Does anybody need any specific chemicals? (unwatched, not on the DEA list I, list II or special surveillance list) I'm currently starting up a chemical supply business. Your chemical would most likely be synthesized days, if not hours, before it's shipped. Of course, I've talked to everybody within my county/state that I need to as far as regulations go, and my business and I meet all the requirements for producing and selling chemicals as long as all EPA/OSHA regulations are withheld.

I hope to be able to utilize the knowledge of what it's like being a beginner at chemistry and running into trouble, cash-wise, and just finding a source in general, to obtain uncommon chemicals in the quantity you need.

Anyways, apologies for turning this into a large pitch or advertisement. I look forward to talking to you all, and I hope I can be of some help to your endeavors in chemistry.

Do you have a website?

I'm actually in the process of creating a basic PHP/MySQL website listing prices of existing compounds in the database and an order placement function that allows you to specify any compounds you want in x quantity, price range you would be willing to pay, etc.

Does that mean you do custom orders (unusual amounts)?

Indeed I do. Any quantity of basically any compound that:
a) can be shipped
b) is not watched or controlled by the DEA

can most likely be provided to you.

Does that sufficiently answer your question?

Possibly interested

I am getting a microscale kit in the new year and will be doing various experiments and learning along the way. I would like to get a good variety of small quantities of chemicals used in books such as Introduction to Organic Laboratory Techniques: A Microscale Approach and/or Microscale Organic Laboratory: With Multistep and Multiscale Syntheses.

I don't have either book yet so I can't really say what is needed.

Are you interested??

This sounds amazing. Its nice to have a store that sells to home chemists.

Absolutely! Could you provide a few examples of what you may be needing?

I'm glad to hear that! I suppose it helps once being a home chemist

How can I know you are trustworthy? Can you please post pictures or something?
Not trying to be discouraging, just trying to be careful. ;)

I'm not currently in possession of a digital camera. However, I'm talking to a few people on here who will be receiving low[er] quantities of a few compounds who will hopefully be able to vouch for the quality and authenticity of it if you feel uncomfortable. If you are not comfortable with buying as of now, I absolutely understand and it's not a problem.

Do you have chlorobenzene or any bismuth compounds? Send me a U2U.

U2U sent!

When you mention DEA i guess you are in America?

Is there any possibility for overseas shipments?

That's dependent on the chemical. If it's not watched/restricted in your country and is possible to be shipped on air freight, there should be no problem. If there any specific you have in mind, feel free to ask and I'll tell you if it's possible. (Please include the country as well)

Hello everyone! I have decided the following:
For a brief period, I will be giving sample dram vials of practically any compound (meeting the defined criteria above) you're interested in. The only cost will be for the price of the vial and shipping. The purpose of this is to provide a good way to confirm the quality and reliability of what I'm doing. If you are interested, feel free to send me a U2U!

Yeah, Polesch makes a good point. If it's something elemental, it's probably best to just buy it elsewhere, as I've not been able to buy everything I'd like in a bulk amount to lower prices for monatomics to a point where it'd be beneficial to you.

that's good to know, thanks
