Gradual addition of powdered KMnO4 to the reaction mixture

I'm trying to figure out how to add a certain ammount of KMnO4 to the reaction mixture through about 4 hours. I tried using a plain addition funnel filled with finely powdered permanganate (just like a sand timer) but it get's stuck.

A powder addition funnel with a worm screw to feed the reagent in powder form in slowly... They can be a bit pricey though

Just use a glass rod or plastic rod to push it in.

They are pricey but chemglass versions were all over fleabay a few weeks ago. I was like, what is this contraption? Then it all made sense.
I'm gonna get one at some point. More for looks than anything.

In this scenario a coffee stirrer comes to mind.
