when ozonolysis of poly unsaturated fatty acid , what will be the out come??

which will produce the carboxylic and aldehyde end for a straight chain poly unsaturated fatty acid

You would probably end up with a mixture of two aldehydes and two carboxylic acids, in roughly equal proportions.

BTW The first step in ozonolysis of an ethylenic double bond is the formation of a highly unstable, potentially explosive, ozonide, in which the 3 O atoms add across the double bond forming a 5-membered ring. Cleavage of this (including of the remaining C-C bond) with migration of H and O atoms would give aldehydes and carboxylic acids. Another possible minor product is the epoxide, formed by loss of O2 without breakage of the remaining C-C bond. One other minor product could be a peroxycarboxylic acid.

thanks...

but will that only one cardoxylic acid produced and many aldehydes or ketones?
