Desalination Alternatives

Does anyone know of any ways to chemically desalinate water and make it suitable for human consumption, other than a large condensor plant, or without evaporation of any kind??

Yet another crappy Wikipedia page. Just goes to show that the average Joes editing Wiki pages can't make a polished product. Half the listed methods are not explained or linked to anywhere. The only good articles are those ripped from other sources. Wikipedia's just like the open source movement, communism in disguise. May be free, but you get what you pay for.

Fucking pinko bastards.
