Is there anything that SiO2 will react with? Are nitrile coated (chemically resistant) gloves sufficienct protection for strong acids/bases? Will
anything react with teflon? Does teflon decompose at high temperatures? Platinum and Gold will react with aqua regia (HNO3 + HCl), right?

Teflon (PTFE) is only useful up to the rated temperatures (~250°C). At about 550°C it decomposes. Thats good so, as by thermolysis of PTFE you can
gain TFA (trifluoroacetic acid) in about 18% yield.
Try to coat your gloves with argon! Thats inert!
(this is a joke! this is a joke! a joke!)
