I'm wondering how to setup an HCL gas generator similar to the one in this article
designer-drugs.com/pte/12.162.180.114/dcd/chemistry/tcboe/chapter3.html. There is also a setup for making chloroform, which looks similar. Does the
separatory funnel fit so snuggly into the flask adaptor that no HCL gas can escape? If this is the case, where would I buy this type of separatory
funnel and adaptor, and what is the precise term for this type of glassware? Is there some special material I could use to wrap around the joint, so
no gasses escape?
