I cannot imagine such a lab even being allowed in San Francisco these days. Why, it contains "chemicals"!

Not is it only filled with neat glassware and chemicals (!), it is also a room with a view!A print would be great.

Yes, the views, the high ceiling, and the dark wood casements are my nostalgia. These are what my university chemical labs had in the '60s.

Now if we could just add the smell of ether, organic halides, a little ester, a steam bath, etc.... ;) And the sound of a hood fan.
