In this video I use silver, alloyed with karat gold, to purify gold.
I lower the karat down to 6k gold by adding silver.
Then I use nitric acid to dissolve the silver and other metal.
Nitric won't dissolve gold, so the pure gold gets left behind.
It assays between 992 to 999 fine.
