Can some one suggest the method of preparation of Benzaldehyde-2,4-disulfonic acid

It can be prepared by the oxidation of toluene-2,4-disulfonic acid using a manganese salt or by reacting 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde with a sulfite.
I'm pretty sure this has been discussed here before...
