Selling chemicals questions

LD5050 - 26-7-2017 at 13:05

I have a few Chems that I don't have any use for and I was thinking about maybe selling them or maybe even trading. I was wondering how some here go about doing this. How can I trust that I will receive money or item that was traded? How do I assure someone that they will receive item from me? Is it mainly just the honor system here or is there some sort of system in place?

It's mainly the honor system. After all, you really don't want to buy chemicals from someone you don't trust.

I have found a network of honest people by engaging with them via U2U and then sometimes redirecting to Skype or whatever. for the most part, the Australian SM members are connected in some way other than just this forum even if it is just a parcel sharing deal to get freight over.

What country are you in?

What chems?

What are you looking for?

I live in the US and I have:

Red phosphorous

Benzaldehyde

Silver nitrate

Acetic anhydride

Sodium borohydride

Nitroethane

And some others. As you can tell these are some controversial chems which is why I don't want them around and also the fact I have no need for them.

List some asking prices.

Some of us use such chemicals for perfectly legitimate purposes.

I will have to look up average pricing to determine my asking price. All chems came from Sigma. Also I would love to trade some one for some glacial acetic acid I need a good amount of GAA so if any one is interested please let me know.

That's just asking for trouble in the USA.

What happens when water is added to acetic anhydride?

PirateDocBrown - 27-7-2017 at 14:05

Yeah, but I'd cry if I had to hydrolyze acetic anhydride to get GAA.

You can just order GAA from Duda. Very reasonable cost.
