Security Alert VPN security breach of routers

Rosco Bodine - 27-5-2018 at 08:37

Reboot any router you may have made by Linksys, MikroTik, NETGEAR, and TP-Link.

At least a half million routers are compromised by malware.

Their "call home" and "reactivation sites" have been seized and shut down.

There's much more interesting question yet to answer: how did this malware infected the routers in the first place? Rebooting does not remove the core code from the router btw.

BTW you can reflash the device if you get access to it ...

Add routers made by QNAP to the list

well SH!T. looks like I've gotta complain to dad again about his network config being needlessly controlling. Gonna need a separate router and modem anyway since I'm now prepping to build a PC which some on discord are calling the Nuke Machine.
