IKA VISC S1 stirring hotplate repair.

Endo - 11-8-2018 at 18:40

I recieved an old hotplate stirrer that had been deemed dead. IKA VISC S1.

I have been going over the internals, replaced a capacitive fuze, mosfet, and a 12v voltage regulator that had problems on the board. I am confident the board is in good shape. The problem comes in with the parts that are missing.

I am missing the multi digit 7 segment display section that hooks into the top cover as well as the variable resistors that the knobs hook up to. I am left with a long female pin header where these interfaced with the main board.

When removed and hooked to a variac the heating element works well.

I could care less about temp and stir speed display.

I am hoping someone out there has info about what resistance the stir speed and temp control potentiometers should be, and which pins on the header that they plug into.

If someone has been in one of these before, or knows where to find refrence diagrams for it I would be very grateful.

Thanks Endo

I have extra display pcb for this model with potentiometers attached. PM me if you need it, I can ship it to you.
