I just got Secomam s.250 spectrophotometer. It may even be in working order but i have no idea how do use it as i did not get any documentation.
Google gives only 25 hits which are useless.
This device is French made. It has only 3 buttons and power switch. It has 5 char 7-segment LED display and RS232 port, likely for printer connection.
It is at least somewhat alive as it shows 3 different messages (unfortunately rather unintelligible) on display. Lamp also lights and monochromator
part seems optically and mechanically Ok.
Has anyone here used this device or knows how to use it? Any data about Secomam s.250 spectrophotometer are highly apreciated!

Whenever ive got sold electronics without documentation the companies are usually fairly cooperative about emailing you the relevent pdf or mailing
the appropriate manual. Surely thats gotta be your first port of call with something like this?

Thanks, Drunkguy. I did ask them but they just wrote me to send company details and so on. At least in my case asking big boys always leads to nothing
(have done it many times). It may be good solution if you have some university or big company as your bacground. As private person or someone with
completely unknown busines its usually just does not work.
I will wait some time and ask other possible sources too. If i do not get anything then i will just use optical part of this device and make my own
circuits to make it work as simple photometer, monochromator or spectrograph. All Three ways are possible and it cost me less than $10!
