slow response , webserver problem ?

Rosco Bodine - 21-11-2007 at 08:13

It's a holiday time so it could just be a web traffic bottleneck , but the forum pages are really sluggish and there may be a hosting issue , so I am reporting the problem .

Sometimes clearing the cache will speed up things.......solo

Also, a nice trick for speeding up the browser can be found here: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/333720/lightning_fast_browsing...

The one for mozilla works indeed. Not that it would speed-up a "bottlenecked" website though.

For the IE one you may actually need to add some registry keys (they were missig on my computer).

The response problem is back , it started yesterday .
The whole site was 404'ed for a few minutes yesterday .

Seems OK now though!

No way is it okay . The site has 404'ed several times today , and the baud rate is about like smoke signals ,
two minutes for a page load if it doesn't just stop completely .

Yeah! This thread inparticular, seems to take forever to completely load!
