lithium dimethylamide - LiNMe2

Hi all,

I've made this compound a few days back, for a new master student to use. however, in his eternal wisdom, he didn't put enough grease on the Schlenck he put it in, so moisture started entering, and my beautiful, white amide became light brown\greenish on the surface. I was told LiNMe2 is soluble in ether, and insoluble in hexane.

Can you confirm that? so I use this solvents to purify the amide.
