Ninhydrin reactions

Hi, I'm currently working with lily-of-the-valley rhizomes and azetidine-2-carboxylic acid which is found inside. I want to do the ninhydrin test for it, but I can't find any resources talking about ninhydrin's reaction with secondary amines and its mechanism, other than this paper: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/pdf/10.1021/cr60203a004
Sadly, my university, being Polish, doesn't have access to the libraries of ACS. Can somebody give me the mechanism, please ?
Thank you all very much

For access to paywalled papers, etc, try Sci-Hub (see sci-hub.tw and sci-hub.se). It's very good.

Basically, on the paywall page, just put "sci-hub.tw/" before the paywall URL. For your link that would be http://sci-hub.tw/https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/cr602...

Ninhydrin's response to secondary amines is very weak yellow. I would look into something else. With primary amines, it gives intense blue-purple.
