Has anyone here tried out whether the "leaching H2O2 from percarbonate" works?


There have been several methods mentioned here, first one with well-cooled H2SO4, in excess to neutralize the carbonate, and prevent decomposition by keeping things acidic.

At least on paper, this seems pretty straightforward, and could have its niche uses, if you want to make Piranha solution, or organic peroxides. I suppose the latter would also work with hydrochloric acid, with the added inconvenience of producing chlorine if it's not done properly.
Either way, not a convenient way to extract the H2O2 itself.


The second hypothetical extraction was with ethanol, as it's miscible with H2O2, but doesn't dissolve the carbonate.
Now, that seems good on paper, as a practical, albeit somewhat risky way to obtain high concentrations of H2O2, but would it actually work, or decompose?
