How to fix date format?

I'm using yymmdd format, but tried to change the settings to yymd some time ago and the format becomes yymd. I tried to change it back to yymmdd but no matter how many times I change it, it keeps stuck in yymd.
Original format: yymmdd, today's date displayed as 190816
After 1st change: yymd, date displayed as 19816
After attempts to revert the settings: yymmdd, but date still display as 19816

Can you tell mt how I can change my date format? (This is a rhetorical question designed to help you think)

Of course I know how. I'm asking how to fix the date format on SM, not on my own pc, in case you misunderstood.

I think you need to replace the motherboard, flash the bios and install Linux. Make sure you have at least 72Gb of Ram and a minimum of 14Tb available drive space.

Again, I mean I'm having problem with SM's date format, not my pc's.

Ok so now I think know what your talking about. If your referring to the user control panel setting/profile edit/ Edit Profile/Date Format (mm/dd/yyyy, dd-mm-yy, etc): I tried changing my settings and it had no effect on any dates that I could see and I was able to change in it back. So sorry I am not able to help you.

In the forum some members only visit every few day or more so you may have to wait several days for a knowledgeable member to read your request and respond to it.

Fusso, try yy-m-d instead. It seems to work for me. It displays “19-mm-dd” this way.

I was having this same problem and, being mildly oblivious, had never even noticed it! For whatever back asswards reason "m" includes the leading zero for single digit values, "mm" does not. I'm not sure if the same applies to "d" and "dd", I'll find out next month when we have single digit values for the day.

Thanks for all your inputs. I tried yy-m-d and yymd and they do display the leading 0s. Don't know why they didn't previously. Maybe just due to Mandela effect:o
