Hydrogen Sulfide and Sulfur Dioxide Reaction

2H2S + SO2 --> 2H2O + 3S

But under what conditions?

I generated these two gasses in separate test tubes adding dilute HCl to FeS and Na2S2O3. I could definitely smell both from near the test tubes. I brought the test tubes together, under a bright light so I could see any precipitating S in the air. I was thinking this would work similar to the reaction between HCl and NH3 to produce a cloud. But no cloud whatsoever.

I'm guessing maybe both gasses have to be dissolved in water for this to work?

Thermodynamics says it should work
Code:
ΔH -234.4965 kJ/mol ΔS -424.0484 J mol/K temp 293.15 Kelvin 20 Celsius ΔG = ΔH - TΔS ΔG -110.19 kJ/mol ΔG=0 T= 552.99 K 279.84 C

The colder the better, but that would go against kinetics.

Maybe dissolve the gasses in a solvent?
