The time capsule still exists :D

The ampoule is as if I made it yesterday, still two layers. I consider the experiment as being over and the outcome is decided, but I keep the ampoule as a nice reminder of this experiment. Maybe one day I can tell my grandchildren (they still must be conceived and born :P) about this long term experiment and show them the ampoule . . .

It may come to rival the pitch drop experiment as "the dullest experiment ever".
This vial of liquids has done nothing since 2016...

Its interesting that SO2Cl2 is not miscible with H2SO4. Do you know is SO2Cl2 is miscible with chlorosulfonic acid (I assume the chlorosulfonic acid is miscible with H2SO4)?

did u mark the liquid level? also putting the vial horizontally can increase the phase boundary area to speed up rxn if it actually happens.
