how to know how much ethanol was vaporized in air??

Recently, i built a ethanol fuel cannon.
my cannon is similar to this,

I don't have a speedometer to check the speed.
so i plan to calculate the energy that provide from the combustion.
I think the PV=nRT isn't work in this case.

Do anyone know how to calculate it???
