What to do with merbromin?

So I bought a bottle of 2% merbromin(almost 500 ml) most likely as the sodium salt.
It's sold as an antiseptic. It's banned in some countries due to The mercury content. I'm not sure what to do with it, can it be used for staining tissue? It seems to fluorescence a nice color as you would expect for a fluoroscein derivertive.
To be honest to me the most surprising thing about it is that it's a organomercury compound sold OTC and made for applying treating wounds.
I bought it originally because I wanted to see the fluorescence(I have a nice collection going), there aren't many sources mentioning the fluorescent properties of it.
I'm also not sure about disposal.
