Where can I find DCM in europe? It seems like it is banned in paint removers...

well what a coincidence, i'm distilling some right now
if you search long enough you'll find something with DCM, the problem is that pretty much everything i found is mixed with other solvents. right now
i'm distilling an old can of dcm and toluene, the others i found contain methanol, heavy naphta and methyl acetate

By the way, do you mean search long enough in shops, or like ask friends etc. if they have old paint strippers?

they are all viable options, if you can ask your friends for old paint stripper probably you'll find something. if you are searching in shops try the
smaller ones, i tried searching dcm in big shops (equivalent of Home Depot) and found nothing, then i tried a small chinese store (here in italy they
sell everything) near my home and found the can of dcm and naphta. as for the italian name of compunds they are pretty similar to english so i didn't
bother to translate sorry

DCM is easily available via eBay uk if shipping is available / not too expensive
CAUTION : Hobby Chemist, not Professional or even Amateur

Being so useful, i would even pay 50 euros for 1 liter if there is no other way
